The Gray Hulk, also known as Joe Fixit, is a variation of the Hulk persona within the Marvel Universe. Unlike the Savage Hulk's childlike rage, the Gray Hulk initially displayed cunning and a more calculating intellect. His transformations, in the early comics, were triggered by the setting sun, not necessarily anger.
The Hulk first appeared in *The Incredible Hulk* #1 (May 1962). The gray skin tone was a printing error but was later incorporated into the character's lore. He re-emerged as the Gray Hulk in later storylines, embodying a drastically different personality compared to the Green Hulk.
The Gray Hulk often operated as an enforcer in Las Vegas under the "Joe Fixit" alias, further showcasing his intelligence and deviation from the standard Hulk rage. He possessed strength rivaling that of the Green Hulk but relied more on strategy and manipulation.
